What is a job description analyzer?
A job description analyzer is a tool that reads a job posting and scores how well it will attract the right candidates. Rocket Talent's analyzer checks four things: whether the writing sells the role and its outcomes, whether the listed salary matches the market for that role, seniority, location and company stage, how many candidates realistically match the requirements, and whether a strong candidate would have a reason to say yes. Each finding comes with the specific fix.
Who it's for
Talent managers, founders and hiring managers at SaaS, AI and D2C companies who are about to post a growth, marketing, product, data or revenue role and want to know, before it goes live, why it might not convert. It is built from the rubric Rocket Talent's recruiters use to mark up client briefs, so the feedback is a hiring-manager's edit, not a grammar check.

Drop in the job description exactly as candidates would see it. The analysis reads it the way a strong candidate does — deciding in ninety seconds whether this role is worth their time.
Four checks in one pass
The writing is scored on how well it sells the role. The salary is benchmarked against companies at your stage hiring the same role. The candidate pool is sized against your hard requirements. And the whole thing is read the way a strong candidate reads it: would they say yes?
Fix it before you post it
Every issue comes with the concrete fix. Most JDs we see would double their qualified applicants with three changes — the report tells you which three.
Job description analyzer FAQ
What does the job description analyzer check? +
Four things: how well the JD is written — whether it sells the role and its outcomes or reads as a requirements wall; how the salary compares with current market benchmarks for the same role, seniority, location and company stage; a modelled estimate of how many candidates realistically match the spec; and candidate appeal — whether the role gives a strong candidate a reason to say yes, from the hiring manager's track record to how the company uses AI.
Is the JD analyzer free? +
Yes. Upload the PDF, and the full report — writing issues with fixes, the salary benchmark range, and the candidate pool estimate — is free in exchange for your work email.
How does the salary benchmarking work? +
The analysis reads the role, seniority, location and stage from your JD and benchmarks the listed compensation against current market data for comparable roles at comparable companies. If no salary is listed, it tells you the range you should expect to pay — and flags that posts without pay attract materially fewer applicants.
How accurate is the candidate pool estimate? +
It is a modelled order-of-magnitude estimate, not a database count: the size of the profession, cut by seniority, location or remote policy, and each hard requirement in your spec. Its real value is showing which single requirement is shrinking your pool the most.
What happens to the uploaded job description? +
It is analyzed and returned to you. The document is not stored on our servers and is not retained by the AI provider (we run with retention off). The report is attached to the email you give us so our team can follow up usefully.
What file formats does it accept? +
PDF, Word (.docx) or plain text, up to 3MB. From Google Docs, File → Download → PDF or Word works.
